IIMC and IIMB Interviews

Shortly after my IIMA interview, I had my IIMC and IIMB interviews. I will not go into the details as I have forgotten most of it, and mostly because it was bad.

I badly fucked up my IIMC interview with my ignorance. GD was decent, I think I managed to contribute some points to the discussion. The interview had four panelists, who decided not to ask me anything about academics, mathematics etc. Instead, they asked me lots of general knowledge, like the rural employment initiative of the Indian government. I was blissfully unaware of the initiative, and felt so stupid after I came out of the interview. Easily the worst interview among the three I attended.

IIMB interview was kindof weird. The GD panel consisted of 9 guys, all from IITM final year !! Needless to say, it was very close to one of our evening chats, absolutely no fight for airtime, no interruptions, no crosstalk. The GD summary to be written at the end could not be completed due to lack of time, but it was the same case for most of us. The guys who went in before me for interview were asked about their B.Tech projects, internship etc. However, they decided to do away with all that for me, and instead asked me questions about my career goals, inspiration, passions, etc. Not exactly an interview that I can objectively judge to have gone good or bad.
